  • Subtitle: I remember what I thought when I landed at Turks & Caicos

I wield analogies like weapons to unveil my experiences. Look at Michael Corleone from The Godfather—this guy flees to Italy to escape his sins, right? But instead of lying low, he strolls through the streets with his bodyguards, deciding it’s a brilliant idea to head to Corleone, his father’s hometown. Irony hits hard when the man has to bolt from the country once more.

As Michael strolls along, Fabrizio spots a stunning redhead and practically throws himself at her, begging for her attention. She spins around, and their eyes collide like two runaway shopping carts—intense! In a mere 10 seconds, Michael and Apollonia are declaring their undying love for each other. Meanwhile, I had the same thing happen to me, but I was so lost in my thoughts that I might as well have been trying to communicate with a brick wall. Spoiler alert: the wall didn’t respond.

See, I encountered her only twice, yet each moment was a whirlwind of enchantment. I had no inkling of her identity or where she hailed from. The first time I caught a glimpse of her was as she emerged from the hotel, while I descended the stairs to hop into a cab. She occupied the adjacent cab to my left; our eyes locked, and the intensity of the connection was simply overwhelming.

When I returned, I thought, “Why not head downstairs and check out the view?” As I walked, I began to see her image in my head, but it decided to float right in front of me, like a ghost just trying to photobomb my daydreams over the water! The next day was a riot; I visited a museum and took a long stroll, bumping into all sorts of folks and soaking up their amazing stories. I met this one older gentleman with tales so wild, I’m convinced he was either a time traveler or an undercover superhero—sorry, but some secrets must remain locked away on this platform!

I had a whirlwind of excitement on my last day! With a bittersweet farewell looming, I decided to hit the gym in the afternoon. It was alright, a mere prelude to what was about to unfold. As I made my way to refill my water bottle, there she was, a stunning vision alongside her friend, completely catching me off guard. In that fleeting moment, as she passed by, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was meant to savor every second, even as the urgency of packing for my flight tugged at my mind.

I don’t regret a single moment spent not speaking to her, for it simply wasn’t destined to be. She was one of the most breathtaking girls I have ever laid my eyes upon, tall and slim, with an exquisite facial structure that seemed to embody beauty itself. Yet, I hold no regrets; as always, I remain strong and wish you a magnificent day ahead.

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances.”

    Intro

Far too often you read a headline that’s discussing someone’s financial situation. Since when was it fashionable to discuss this topic especially because none of us have a real grasp of what’s going on. Reading what the news says doesn’t give the headline validation, it’s just something to fill a space when everything else has been talked about.

Every week someone is filing for bankruptcy or losing half in a divorce. Don’t we all have a financial crisis story that’s the one commonality most people who are not billionaires have. Let’s not even begin with social media, how that’s always the first insult levied at someone is their financial status.

    Body

Let me play a scenario: let’s say you hit the lotto and invest in several businesses. You get a great deal of success but you forget to check your taxes so you get a letter from the IRS saying you owe 10.5 million in taxes. Worse news ever and your face is now over social media and television so future business partners are scared off so now you owe money and you cannot close the deal to help you out financially.

So what do you do? Court is right around the corner and now your family cannot handle the stress so they leave and everywhere you go you’re reminded of your failures. Now you have to sell your assets to pay for legal fees and you still have to do a minimum of 8 months for tax invasion. Do you see how one news story can ruin someone’s life? See, we just see these stories as news but these are real people having their finances scrutinized by the public.

    Conclusion

They can’t fight the press and the law at the same time. But once again worrying about someone’s finances never leads to anything good in life. Once you embrace this mindset you start becoming noisy and looking for other places you shouldn’t have. These will lead to more stress, conflict, and confusion in your own life.

We all have had some type of financial issues in our life. I try to see these stories as what not to do especially when it comes to taxes that seems to always occur. I’ve found usually with these stories certain characters get portrayed a certain way based on the character they not necessarily reality. As always you matter more than you think. Have a great day.
