  • NWA the Elvis of rap music

    Author: Alex Stevenson

    Date: 8/20/25 8:30 a.m

Rap music is like a pizza with extra toppings—sometimes you just need a slice of humor before it really hits the spot!

Have you ever contemplated the evolution of rap music to its current state? A significant influence can be traced back to NWA, which some critique as one of the most detrimental forces in rap history, rivaled only by the impact of Def Jam. It is important to note that this discussion is intended solely for educational purposes. The genre often referred to as drill or drug music has roots that can be attributed largely to NWA. While they did not initiate gangster rap, they undeniably elevated it to unprecedented levels of impact. One might ponder the trajectory of rap music had NWA not emerged.

“Music is a journey, not a destination. It’s about finding your voice and sharing your truth with the world.”
    — Dr. Dre

What rap will do to you⬇️

I envision a smooth soundscape; since the rise of NWA, we’ve witnessed the evolution of 90’s gangsta rap and drill rap. It has reached a point where even Drake feels compelled to produce gangster tracks, a trend that is completely unnecessary. Personally, I often choose to tune out when gangster rap plays; it’s simply not my style. Gangster rap represents the post-crack era, and if you immerse yourself in it, you’ll only invite pain and rage into your life. And yes, I stand by my words: rap music just doesn’t appeal to me.

The reality of rap music ⬇️

Since the emergence of gangster rap, a fascinating evolution in music and culture has taken place. It’s intriguing to see how many themes resonate across the genre: success, resilience, loyalty, and the journey of personal growth. Many rap songs celebrate achievements, the pursuit of dreams, and the complexities of relationships, revealing the depth of human experience. Moreover, it’s remarkable how numerous major rappers have successfully transitioned into acting, showcasing their diverse talents and creativity, further inspiring a new generation in the entertainment industry.

    Riddle Time ⬇️

I speak without a mouth and hear without ears. I have no body, but I come alive with the wind. What am I?

    Think you know the answer?*_

    Rappers are actors⬇️

Why is that? Is it really because so many of them are just playing roles in real life? They slip into the skin of superheroes, cops, or theater icons like Denzel Washington or Al Pacino with such ease. Honestly, I’m over this – this genre just sends me spiraling into boredom; it makes me want to throw myself onto the couch and tune out.

    Today’s music ⬇️

In today’s rap scene, let’s be real, I only recognize a handful of artists—none worth naming right now—mostly because they dominate the streaming platforms and are dissected ad nauseam by podcasters. But seriously, is this what we’ve come to? What’s your take on this? How deep does the rabbit hole really go?

“Life is too short to be caught up in the past. You gotta focus on your future and own your present.”
    — Ice Cube

    Conclusion ⬇️

Do you think I’m just an old man with a bad opinion? Welcome to America, where everyone gets to scream into the void about their thoughts! Thanks for lending me your ears – hope you have a fabulous day, and maybe, just maybe, try to dial down that cacophony you lovingly refer to as music.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you take away something valuable from this exploration of rap music.

  • It’s all fun in games until you get in the ring

    Author By: Alex Stevenson

    Date 8/20/25 5:30 a.m

    Introduction

Be mindful of your wishes, for they may come true—and in the world of UFC, that’s precisely what Dana White and an impressive lineup of fighters, including Conor, Rousey, Silva, and others, accomplished. For nearly a decade, they engaged in a playful rivalry with Floyd Mayweather, creating an exhilarating buzz that elevated the sport to new heights—talk about exciting times ahead!

    Riddle:
I have keys but open no locks,
I have space but no room,
I can enter but never leave,
    What am I?

    Answer: A keyboard!

It all kicked off with the ludicrous idea that the UFC represents true combat, while boxers are supposedly weaklings in real-world brawls. The aging fighters couldn’t resist throwing around Floyd’s name, dismissing him as nothing more than a cowardly runner, and even Dana White jumped into the fray, mocking his height and supposed lack of skills. But the absurdity escalated when Dana, craving a female figure to amp up the drama, thrust Ronda Rousey into the limelight.

    Body

Many of you may recognize Rousey from her electrifying wrestling performances or her roles in cinema, yet it’s crucial to remember that she once reigned as the most celebrated UFC fighter, cementing her legacy before McGregor stepped into the spotlight. With audacity, she proclaimed she could defeat Mayweather—a claim that sparked disbelief, especially as she had never faced a male fighter in a professional bout up to that point. What’s even more puzzling is the media’s enthusiastic support of her bold statement; one would think that the same advocates for non-violence in relationships would challenge Rousey’s assertion rather than rally behind her!

“In this ring, it’s not just about winning; it’s about proving that hard work and dedication can conquer all. I don’t fight for the glory; I fight to show the world what it means to be a champion.” – Floyd Mayweather

_But she really crumbled after that clash with Holly Holmes and then Amanda Nunez. But honestly, it’s whatever because McGregor followed the same playbook. I have to give credit where it’s due; McGregor is hands down a superior trash talker than nearly everyone, rivaling even Mayweather. He didn’t hold back, always roasting Floyd by claiming he wouldn’t dare to step into his arena, calling him out with comments like, “His little legs, his little core.” And let’s not forget when he declared, “Floyd is a BH; when I showed up, he retired twice.” That was pure gold._*

    Conclusion

Everything may look like a thrilling spectacle before entering the ring, but the truth reveals itself hard and brutal once the fight begins. The hype surrounding the clash might have been entertaining, but when that bell tolled, it transformed into a precisely orchestrated slaughter. Mayweather barely bothered with punches in the early rounds, yet when he finally unleashed in the later stages, Conor was utterly outclassed, drowning in his mismanaged stamina. The match was stopped—a glaring exhibition of Floyd’s total domination. It was an imbalanced contest from the outset, but it’s the aftermath that truly demands our sharpest attention.

    Riddle:
What has legs but doesn’t walk,
    Can run but never tires,
Sits in one spot, and in the cold, it can’t help but freeze?
    What am I?

    Answer: A table!

After that brawl, Conor was really feeling the effects of some serious head trauma. No matter what he claims, he definitely wasn’t pumped about facing Khabib. Honestly, if he could have bailed on that fight, he would have jumped at the chance for a rematch with Diaz or maybe another boxing match with Paulie Malignaggi—because who wouldn’t want to get hit again, right? Floyd threw a huge wrench into his career, but it feels like no one wants to admit it! Khabib just made things worse. And hey, remember that you matter more than you think—especially when you’re trying to avoid insane fights! Have an awesome day!

Always strive to be the best version of yourself, because every day is an opportunity for a fresh start. Embrace challenges, learn from them, and keep pushing forward!

  • Why being average is the best move you can make as a young man

    Author: Alex Stevenson

    Date: 8/18/25 8:30 a.m

While social media and influencers might have you thinking that being average is like wearing socks with sandals—an absolute fashion crime—the reality is that embracing your inner average Joe can be one of the most empowering moves a young man in America can make. Just look at the weekly soap opera with male entertainers who end up in lawsuits or facing wild accusations; even when they’re as innocent as a kitten, their reputations resemble that of a cat in a dog park. Clearly, choosing a nice, stable, average lifestyle is like picking a cozy couch over a rollercoaster—who wouldn’t want a path filled with snacks and integrity instead of thrills and drama?

    Riddle:
I can run, but I never walk. I have a mouth, but I never talk. I can be a friend or sometimes a foe, what am I?

    Answer: A river!

The old adage asks, “What’s the point of being average?” But let’s get real for a moment: there are billions of people in this world, and guess what? Most of us are just blandly ordinary! Living off the grid sounds all noble, right? But participating in an underground potato sack race doesn’t exactly scream ‘nonconformist!’ As a young man, brace yourself—you’ll face accusations that are more absurd than a cat attempting to meow in Spanish.

Why would anyone want to be on camera? Probably because it’s easier to acquire free meals and access to beautiful women. But that’s not worth the stress because when people say you are regular they mean you’re not a celebrity and you don’t have millions of dollars.

“Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.”
    — John F. Kennedy

Living a comparative life as a young man in America can be detrimental to your spirit. I’m not advocating for laziness or a lack of ambition, but it’s imperative to march to the beat of your own drum! Stressing yourself out for the fleeting approval of others is a fruitless endeavor—today’s admiration can vanish tomorrow! Embrace your unique journey and pursue your dreams at your own pace!

What truly matters is what’s on the inside, far beyond the shallow judgments others make from the outside. We’ve all heard the cliché “never judge a book by its cover,” but let’s get real: it’s time to unapologetically embrace our authentic selves. Each morning, when you gaze into the mirror, remind yourself that you are a fierce individual crafting your own narrative, not merely a hollow reflection molded by the fickle standards of social media.

How much money is considered elite?

    • 1. 100,000 a year but minimal time off
    • 2. 400,000 a year but no time off
    • 3. 60,000 a year a lot of time to spend with family

We all have to play nice with social norms, but we certainly don’t need to turn ourselves into bland mashed potatoes! It’s hilarious how folks get all huffy about being labeled regular or basic—when did that become an insult? I mean, picture this: a guy spends twenty-five years as an electrician, retires, and ends up with a cozy family life while never making the newspapers for dodging the law. Sounds like a classic ‘regular dude’ to me, just chomping on his sandwich during lunch breaks and tackling live wires like a champ.

Alex Stevenson- “Being average is a reflection of the cardinal mind.”

  • But pressure from the family can either get them in line or force them to leave.

    Author: Alex Stevenson

    Date: 8/23/25 5:30 a.m

In this image, a family surrounds a little boy, each member jabbing a finger at him. He meets their accusatory stares with a blend of confusion and daring curiosity. The cozy home environment contrasts sharply with the tension in the air, hinting at a heated family discussion or perhaps a moment of uncomfortable discipline that challenges the boy’s innocence.

“Success is your duty, obligation, and your responsibility. Don’t wait for opportunity; create it.” – Grant Cardone

Are you different from everyone else? I mean truly different not I like different music or food I mean your energy and mindset. See some special people take more time to develop but they all have different personalities which take longer to cultivate. Some of them are exceptionally good looking or extremely smart or gifted in a field. It’s easier as a child. You are not really a threat. You are small and cute, something to be shown off by your parents.

But as you grow older, the rules begin to shift; suddenly, you find yourself in high school, where the kid gloves are off and the stakes are higher—now, the possibility of arrest and being charged as an adult looms over you. Then comes college, where the illusion of freedom enchants you; you choose your classes and decide whether to attend in person or online. However, midst this newfound autonomy, you must come to grips with a stark reality: time is money, and each tick of the clock adds to your debt while robbing you of valuable opportunities to earn and forge vital connections.

“Whatever you are, be a good one.” – Abraham Lincoln

Did you graduate? If you did, congrats! If not, don’t worry; it’s just life’s way of saying you have more time to binge-watch your favorite shows. Remember, your special abilities are like a secret sauce—what you do with them and who you know will determine if your 20s are a fantastic buffet or a sad little salad bar. So, if you’re an artist hustling from a rough neighborhood or a writer crafting your magnum opus, good luck! You’re in for a journey so treacherous it might as well come with a warning label and a helmet!

    beauty, family,

But this will certainly shape you for the better later in life. This is not even considering the joy that children bring or the meaningful relationships that flourish, especially within the family dynamic. When you come back home, it’s a unique experience that encourages you to embrace your role within the family. They will support you in discovering who you truly are and help you grow into a confident individual, fostering a sense of belonging similar to the positive environment of a fulfilling job.

    Thank you for your time.
    — Alex Stevenson

But if you are truly special, you will find a way to navigate through pressure; that’s how you realize your uniqueness. The greatest gift we can receive is a sound mind, surpassing any material possession, at least in my humble opinion. It’s understandable that one family member may yield to fear, while another may choose to remain an outcast, but it’s important to recognize that they embody their roles in their own way. Wishing you a wonderful day, and please travel home safely.

Here’s a humorous riddle for you:

I can be cracked, made, told, and played. What am I?

    Answer: A joke!

Have you ever noticed how many people of color are supervisors? I’ve noticed a large number of older women in these positions, especially women of color. While this is not the focus of this article, it’s worth mentioning. The real issue is who gets bullied in the workplace. In my experience, young people, particularly young men who are not well-connected, are the most targeted. This is not to say that other demographics don’t experience harassment. But, the plight of young men is often overlooked.

“The consumer isn’t a moron, she’s your wife.” — David Ogilvy

I’ve observed young men being verbally assaulted for minor reasons, and even for no reason at all. People shouldn’t be treated nicely just because. Still, it’s clear that if any other group were subjected to this level of harassment, action would be taken. These young men are often targeted by older women. These women treat them as they would their own sons. They are also treated like the fathers of their children. The level of abuse and cattiness is unbearable, and any man can attest to this. While other demographics also have their own stories, the severity of the situation for young men is unparalleled.

The level of abuse and cattiness is unbearable, and any man can attest to this. While other demographics also have their own stories, the severity of the situation for young men is unparalleled. It’s already difficult enough for us to enter the workforce with two strikes against us.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.” — Robert Kiyosaki

As young men, we are constantly assumed to be guilty of something. We are endlessly reminded of our past mistakes. We are also reminded of potential mistakes. Let me give you some insight: the majority of young men just want to do their job and go home. We are not interested in making friends or getting involved in workplace drama. We simply want to do our work and leave. We often have to attend sensitivity training sessions. We face these and other forms of what we perceive as nonsense. This is because we are insensitive to other demographics. But, the truth is that we face discrimination every day because of our gender. This happens more than for any other demographic in the workplace.

If you don’t believe me, just ask anyone who is honest. I would estimate that at least 70% of workplaces are like this. Let me clarify. I am specifically referring to young men who are not well-connected. They make up the majority of men in the workplace. Men who are well-connected often get special privileges, but they are the minority. Older men have an easier time in certain areas. Still, they have also faced similar challenges in the past.

Types of Personalities: In the workplace, understanding different personality types can enhance teamwork and productivity.

    1. The Leader: Often takes charge, motivates others, and is decisive in decision-making, fostering an environment of collaboration and direction.

    2. The Mediator: Skilled in conflict resolution, this personality thrives on ensuring harmony within the team, bridging gaps between differing opinions, and promoting a cooperative atmosphere.

    3. The Innovator: Constantly seeking new ideas and solutions, this personality challenges the status quo and encourages creative thinking, driving the team to explore uncharted territories.

There is a common misconception that young people don’t want to work. Still, if you were to separate the younger men from the rest, I guarantee you would see amazing productivity. It’s difficult to do a job when someone is constantly breathing down your neck. As always, have a great day and remember that you matter more than you think.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are. In that journey, we must embrace both the light and the darkness that resides within us. It is through understanding and integrating these aspects that we find wholeness. Goodbye.” — Carl Jung

    The strong survive

People often talk about how much airlines make. What if I told you they are making more cash from checked bags and credit card deals than before? Still, the main chunk of their income still comes from the folks flying in those seats above the clouds. Nonetheless, what airlines bring in isn’t the same as what they actually keep. You’ll be amazed at how tiny the earnings per traveler really are!

    Reports

Digging into airline reports and government numbers, we discover that from 2021 to 2024, the four biggest US airlines—Delta, United, American, and Southwest—managed to reel in a measly $5.51 in net gain per flier. It’s a staggering drop from the glory days of 2016 to 2019, when they were raking in an outrageous $19.26 per person! I guess they’ve traded plush seats for chairs that fold and complimentary peanuts for a warm smile!

    Recording finances

This year’s first quarter was a real doozy! Airlines were sweating bullets as they juggled extra fees while trying to convince people to book trips. In the end, their profit per traveler plummeted to less than a dollar—who knew air travel could be the new penny stock?! Sure, the first part of the year is typically a snooze-fest for airlines, but those numbers are like something out of a comedy sketch!

Next we will discuss why this happens

    Economic realities

Extra fees are slamming consumers hard, and Delta is scrambling, even altering its forecasts due to stifling tariffs. Yet, astonishingly, it raked in $2 billion from its American Express partnership in the first quarter — a jaw-dropping 13% increase from last year! But let’s get real; lumping all airlines together is a fool’s errand. One industry expert bluntly revealed, “On some routes, airlines are practically bleeding money just to stay airborne. Meanwhile, on other routes, they’re raking in profits hand over fist because there’s zero competition!” The financial fates of airlines can swing wildly year to year. New terminals, soaring fuel costs, and renegotiated labor contracts are just a few of the colossal obstacles they face.

    Adjusting to the market

Because profits are shrinking, budget airlines have started to ditch the cheap model. They’re adding fancy seats and opening new lounges. In Southwest’s case, they are ending some of their most beloved money-saving tricks. These changes aim to squeeze out more revenue from fees. Last year, the biggest US airlines made $7.27 billion from checked bag fees alone — up over 26% (or $1.5 billion) since 2019! That’s a huge leap for a fee that Spirit first brought to the US in 2007.

    THE BOTTOM LINE

These so-called new ways to make money might have helped keep ticket prices down temporarily, but who knows how long that will last? As airlines inch away from the low-cost model and competition dwindles, it’s hard to believe prices for travelers won’t inevitably rise. Since 2007, only two new scheduled airlines have managed to establish themselves in the US—an unprecedented dry spell in American aviation that raises more questions than answers!

  • Subtitle: 33 strategies of war is key you make one wrong move its all over

    Author: Alex Stevenson

    Date 8/13/25 6:30 am

I can remember it now so vividly in my old neighborhood where resilience and hope shone through challenges. I grew up in a two-parent household for the first ten years, and after they separated, I was given the opportunity to explore a different side of town, discovering new perspectives along the way.

It was a mere half a mile away—no big deal, right? That’s what I thought until I bravely ventured outside solo, channeling my inner explorer. But let’s not forget, I grew up an only child with no siblings to serve as my personal warning system. I guess I was about to have a reality check that my parents forgot to include in my “how to survive the outside world” handbook!

A view of makeshift tents and debris in an impoverished area, with buildings and solar panels in the background.
A glimpse of hardship: makeshift shelters amid urban development, reflecting the stark contrast between poverty and progress.

I emerged as a strategist, compelled to navigate my way through a world that felt overwhelming due to my small stature and limited connections. I meticulously crafted a plan for when to escape my home, fully aware of the dangers lurking in the shadows on Saturday nights, when trouble often brewed. To fortify my resolve, I gathered a close-knit circle of friends, united in our quest to unravel the mysteries around us and transform our dreams into reality.

As you can see, I might come off as rather Machiavellian, but let’s be honest—I did take losses. Don’t get me wrong, I have my scars to prove it. Yet, I kept them minimal. Later, I stumbled upon Robert Greene’s 33 Strategies of War, which supposedly encourages some strategies I was already using, but really, did it add anything meaningful to my arsenal?

I discovered a mentor I never knew existed, a silent guiding force whose profound wisdom surged through the pages of his works like a river of inspiration. As I devoured his other books, each one unfolded as a magnificent tapestry of insights and reflections, igniting my soul with every word. Yet, I strive to remain grounded in reality, acutely aware that anchoring my entire worldview on another’s teachings could create a rift from my own unique experiences. I approached the book not just as a wellspring of inspiration but as a bulwark against the seductive temptations of reality TV and other mind-numbing distractions that serve no true purpose, often clouding my thoughts and dimming my spirit.

These days, I still run into all sorts of situations that make life a bit tricky, but let’s be real, we all deal with our own stuff, right? It’s just what comes with being human and going through our own adventures. Remember, you’re way more important than you realize; your presence and what you bring to the table really matter. So, have an awesome day and get ready to embrace all the cool stuff coming your way!
