  • “Movies You Must Watch Episode 2: Collateral (2004) – Tom Cruise & Jamie Foxx’s Intense Thriller”

It kicks off with a course review about this movie click here to buy.

Get ready to have your breath taken away—this movie is nothing short of mesmerizing. First off, kudos for showing up, even though you sauntered in five minutes late; next time, do better. The serious tone of this film demands your attention, yet it grips you tightly, refusing to let you look away.

” Movies show us our reality ” – Alex Stevenson

How can a supposedly great hair villain start off polite? Really, how does a cab driver end up as his right-hand man? If you’re curious, I suppose I should explain further. Jamie Foxx is in this movie playing a cab driver, but can we take it seriously when he just seems to do his job with a smile?

But after dropping off a stunning woman, his life takes a thrilling turn; that’s right, she hooked him up with some high-profile clients to chauffeur around—big players in the city he calls home. Oh, you thought I’d skip mentioning Vincent, portrayed by Tom Cruise? Fine, let’s dive into that; Vincent struts in with a sharp suit but no tie—what a bizarre choice! Seriously, who would trust a guy who doesn’t even bother with a tie? Come on, at least give a bow tie a shot.

    Make a Difference

We fail to grasp just how extraordinary we really are.

At last, the truth emerges from the shadows. Who can forget that unforgettable scene when the police sirens erupted and the bass hit hard, revealing Dr. Dre spitting fire in the backdrop? Yet, there was something amiss — a scrawny kid lurking behind him, completely overlooked until he unleashed his rap game, rocking a Jerry curl and attire straight out of a swap meet. What were we thinking, missing this gem amidst the chaos?

“Keep your head up, stay true to your grind, and let the haters hate; they just mad they ain’t in the game.” – Snoop Dogg

But that’s life, am I right? Picture this: in 1992, an eclipse was looming, and suddenly the air was thick with music as Dr. Dre dropped “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang.” America tuned in to see him strut through the ghetto like he owned it, dodging chaos like it was a game of Frogger, until he swung open a door and revealed the true star — Snoop! “1, 2, 3, into the 4, Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre are at the door” — it was like opening a surprise birthday present that was one giant party. The hype was real, and who could forget when Snoop unleashed “Gin & Juice” in 1993? He was still chilling in the hood, probably dialing up his homeboy while wondering where all the juice went after his parents had left.

He hopped on his bike and said, “With all the drama going on in the LBC, it’s pretty tough being Snoop D-O-double-G.” Once again, his chill rhyme style had everyone hooked, and folks were curious about this skinny kid from California—was he Dr. Dre’s little bro? Then in ‘93, things took a turn—“Who Am I? (What’s My Name?)” dropped, and everyone was buzzing for two big reasons. First, he’d turned himself into a dog, and second, he was straight-up claiming to be a gang member.

His lyrics were like a shout-out from the hood, “from the depths of the C’s back to the block, Snoop Doggy Dogg, funkier than a pair of gym socks!” Was this the right move? Probably not! I mean, did he really need to wave a gang flag while wearing sunglasses indoors? His cool and calm vibe was already off the charts! But then came the legal drama, kind of like a reality show we didn’t ask for, and Snoop found himself trading his bling for a courtroom seat. Thankfully, he got off easier than a cat in a room full of laser pointers, and slowly but surely, the caterpillar turned into a butterfly, ready for a whole new chapter of funky adventures.

Occasionally, Calvin from Long Beach rears his head in Snoop, especially during that infamous Super Bowl performance where he flaunted his gang attire. But let’s be real — Snoop deserves some damn respect; he’s dodged any serious scandal since the early 2000s. If I told you that Calvin, a gangbanger who was once arrested for swiping a candy bar, would transform into Snoop Dogg, you’d probably scoff and think I was out of my mind.

“Life is about finding your own path and staying true to yourself. You gotta keep it real, even when the world tries to change you.” – Snoop Dogg

Imagine if I told you that a local gang member, who tipped the scales at a mere 150 pounds yet towered over 6 feet tall, selling drugs straight from his car, would rise to greatness. You might laugh me out of the building, but this story proves that it’s not about where you begin—it’s all about where you end up. Each of us faces our own trials and tribulations, yet the truly extraordinary find a way to rise above. Thank you for your time, and may your day be filled with inspiration and possibility.

  • This week’s guest on Pain’s Corner is Mike Tyson.

    Author: Alex Stevenson

    Date: 8/22/25 5:30 a.m

Welcome back to Pain’s Corner. In today’s episode, we have Iron Mike Tyson. Mike, can you share some good moments from your childhood? What’s that? You want me to tell the story? But you’re the guest, Mike. There’s no need to get snippy with me. Please, come back and sit down.

“The mind is the most powerful weapon. Use it wisely, and it can lead you to greatness.” – Mike Tyson

Wow, celebrities can be difficult to deal with. We all know Mike Tyson’s background, but have we connected the pieces? Cus D’Amato broke Mike Tyson in ways that are hard to understand. Pay attention to how Mike’s expression changes when anyone brings up Cus’ name. Mike Tyson moved upstate, but he often went back to Brownsville to commit crimes, as he has admitted.

In the military, sergeants have many ways of breaking their subjects. Mike went from 0 to 1000 in a matter of seconds. Watch how Cus would speak about what he did to Mike Tyson, Floyd Patterson, and several other fighters. After being broken, Mike became a champion. It seems like a good thing, but then Cus passed away. Now, Mike had to be watched by someone, so Don King stepped in.

    Riddle:

I have keys but open no locks,
I have space but no room,
I can enter but cannot go outside,
    What am I?

    Answer: A keyboard!

Don gets a bad rap, but he did protect Mike from many altercations outside the ring. Nonetheless, a pivotal moment happened when Mike went to jail. This was not a boys’ home, but a prison. When Mike came out, he had a Mao tattoo and had converted to the Nation of Islam. Have you ever noticed that many major entertainers, especially boxers, turn to Islam? I have no doubt that Mike went through excruciating pain in prison.

We’ve all seen the clip of Mike chasing out a reporter and making vulgar statements towards him. That pain was from prison. Mike was subjected to a series of trials and tribulations while incarcerated. Why would someone say those things unless something bad happened to them before that? Mike didn’t say those things while he was with Cuss or before prison. Put two and two together. It’s not that hard to figure out. Now, I’m not making any accusations here, but the plot thickens.

“Fear is like fire; it can warm you or consume you. Embrace it, but don’t let it control you.” – Mike Tyson

We can feel it in the air. Iron Mike Tyson makes his return in the movie “The Hangover.” After losing someone close to him, Mike went from a villain to a hero in the media’s eyes. But he will admit that he’s done some terrible things, as most of us have. The story of Mike Tyson is a tragic one, even until this day. Recently, he has returned to fighting and seems to be doing better. Now that Mike is no longer a podcaster, one has to wonder what will be next for him. Hopefully, he is now living a better life and enjoying his retirement. As always, have a great day. Remember, you matter more than you think.

  • Over 60% of Americans face College Debt.

    Author: Alex Stevenson

Another day, another bill—it’s like a never-ending soap opera! I embrace every challenge like a contestant on a game show. Deep down, I always knew this day would arrive; loan forgiveness is a mythical creature, probably hiding under my bed. But hey, at least I got some time to save up and gather all the intel, like a squirrel hoarding acorns for winter! As my wise childhood self always warned me, nothing is free—unless you count that one time I “borrowed” my friend’s last cookie.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.”
    — Steve Jobs

Having delved into my earlier writings, I can’t help but express my deep skepticism towards big businesses handing out what they term as ‘free money.’ Let’s face it, America is drowning in debt—so why on earth would they hand out cash with no strings attached? This notion baffles me! Every dollar is taxed, and we exist under this illusion of an “I owe you later” policy that feels like a trap!

I understand that navigating financial challenges can be overwhelming, especially when you need to withdraw more than $10,000. This article isn’t just about my experiences—it’s about supporting you through this process. There are options available to help, such as payday loans, secured loans, and refinancing. Additionally, consider an IDR plan, which tailors payments to your income and family size. Programs like SAVE, ICR, BCR, and IBR can significantly ease your financial burden by lowering your payments.

    — Bill Gates

Direct consolidation loans empower you to merge various federal student loans into a single loan with a fixed interest rate, simplifying your repayment process. Moreover, you can apply for both subsidized and unsubsidized loans. While it’s well-known that many employers offer assistance with student loans, loan forgiveness through programs like PSLF presents an equally viable option.

I want to make it crystal clear: I’m not a financial advisor, nor am I licensed to dispense certain information; what follows is merely foundational knowledge I’ve gathered to empower you, the reader! This information is accessible to anyone willing to seek it out. Why not dive into the vast resources available online? We all harness the power of artificial intelligence every day, so feel free to pose your inquiries and uncover answers that ignite your curiosity! Speaking of AI, let’s ponder together: has artificial intelligence truly replaced Siri? Remember her? That captivating voice on your phone with whom you create a dialogue, so reminiscent of Alexa’s charm.

“We become what we think about.”
    — Earl Nightingale

I guess we’ve moved on, right? Imagine a few years from now, what exciting advancements will follow artificial intelligence! When we discuss debt, people often react with concern, and it’s completely understandable; debt can be tricky, often linked with taxes or education. However, I love to think about how I can use debt as a tool for growth! That’s a topic for another time, though. Thank you for your attention; I hope you find some valuable insights in what I’ve shared here. Wishing you a fantastic day ahead!

  • It’s not you, it’s me! Literally, I’ve outgrown you, and I want to move on.

    By: Alex Stevenson

    Date: 8/21/25 8:30 a.m

Moving on? It’s a Herculean task for many. We’re trapped in a society obsessed with reality TV and social media drama, where everyone is itching for a fight or hunting for the latest scandal to use against you. And let’s be real: as a guy in America, society dictates that you can’t just walk away from a relationship. It’s absurd—your life could be on the line, yet you’re expected to stick around, and if things go south, well, that’s just tough luck!

I speak without a mouth and hear without ears. I have no body, but I come alive with the wind. What am I?

I can’t wrap my head around this; as men, we’re trapped in relationships with no escape. If we dare to seek freedom, we’re met with harassment and stalking from our partners, and shockingly, it’s been accepted as the norm. Every guy is painted as a cheater or an abuser, but what about when you’ve outgrown your wife and know deep down that the relationship is toast? The agony of being with someone who just doesn’t understand you is a burden far too many men bear.

What if it’s not about another woman, but rather about your personal growth and changing perspective? I truly understand that seeking new experiences can be valuable, but if you’ve genuinely matured and don’t feel a connection anymore, it’s important to acknowledge that and consider moving forward. However, I recognize that with social media’s pervasive nature, your former wife may still keep an eye on you, and you could find yourself unfairly labeled as the villain, especially in the eyes of those who experienced a similar heartbreak as she did.

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” — Albert Einstein

It is often observed that individuals are drawn to those who share similarities with them. However, I firmly believe that if you have outgrown your spouse, it is essential to part ways. There is, however, one crucial exception to this perspective: if children are involved. In the absence of children, I strongly advise you to leave and not return if the relationship has become untenable and you find yourselves incompatible.

Life gets a hell of a lot easier when you cut ties with those who just don’t get you. They say two negatives create a positive; I say if you hit a negative wall, do whatever it takes to escape that mess. Being told you’re not good enough? That stings, but guess what? It can fuel your growth. Breakups? Often, they’re a blessing in disguise because the right person is just waiting to sweep you off your feet.

“The key to a successful career is to find the right balance between hard work and the ability to enjoy the ride.” — Gene Hackman

Hey, for those of you who don’t agree with me, think about this: what if you had to go home to someone who drives you crazy and you just clash? Would you stick around when things only seem to go downhill? From what I’ve seen in life, tough situations rarely get better; they just get worse. So, in the end, life’s already tough enough, so why waste your time in a stressful mess that isn’t doing you any good?

    Thank You

    Dear Readers,

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for taking the time to read my thoughts and reflections. Your support means the world to me. In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, I hope my words resonated with you and perhaps offered a new perspective on the complexities of relationships and personal growth.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I truly appreciate your engagement and feedback, as it inspires me to continue sharing my experiences. Remember, in every challenge lies an opportunity for growth and transformation. Let’s keep moving forward together.

    Warm regards,

  • I guarantee you don’t know what a father is. The lies you’ve been told!

    By: Alex Stevenson

    Date: 8/21/25 5:30 am

It’s been too long since we last chatted, so let’s cut to the chase. I have to unpack what Denzel Washington was really saying with his memorable lines in “Fences.” Take this gem he dropped on Corey: “Get you a skill; you’re chasing a dream playing sports.” Harsh, right? But Troy was demanding a wake-up call—time to face the brutal reality of life out there.

    Riddle:

I can be cracked, made, told, and played.
I bring smiles or groans; I’m often conveyed.
    What am I?

    Answer: A joke.

Troy emerged from an era where possessing a skill was essential. Lacking one, he found himself working as a garbage man, a fate he refused to accept for his son. This foresight reflects the importance of teaching valuable lessons. A father’s responsibility is to equip his son with the wisdom needed for adulthood. When Corey challenged him, asking, “What did you ever do for me? What did you ever give me?” Troy firmly responded, “I gave you feet, I gave you bones, and I gave you that pumping heart.”

Troy’s basically saying, “I made you, so trust me, I know exactly what you need!” Classic dad move, right? He’s telling his son, “Here’s the deal, buddy: nobody’s gonna look out for you like I do, especially when you polish off my last slice of pizza!” People often confuse tough love from dads with being mean, but come on, it’s just their way of saying life can be pretty tough. When Corey asks why his dad seems to have a bit of a grudge against him, Troy hits back with, “I don’t gotta like you!” like he’s trying out for the part of the world’s most straightforward dad!

“Life doesn’t always turn out the way you want it to, but it’s how you deal with it that defines who you are.”

Troy goes on to say, “Listen, buddy, I owe you a responsibility ’cause I’m your father—no pressure! This isn’t about whether I like you or not.” He then adds, “Mr. Red doesn’t hand me my cash because we’re best buds; he’s just paying off a debt. And guess what? I’ve already given you everything I’ve got! I even handed over your life—talk about a parenting deal!” Troy is trying to clue Corey in that being a man means doing what’s expected, and fretting over who thinks you’re cool is like trying to win a popularity contest with a rock—total waste of time!

For Troy, being a man isn’t about whining or begging for favors; it’s about stepping up and fulfilling your responsibilities. When Corey foolishly asks him to buy a TV, Troy snaps back, “You see that roof? It’s in desperate need of repair. Once winter hits, that $200 is going to be crucial for that and whatever else breaks down in this dump of a house.”

“Don’t you ever let nobody’s opinion of you become your reality. You gotta stand tall, take responsibility, and make your own way in this world.”

He was trying to get the point across to Corey that being a dad means you’ve gotta be ready for anything, and throwing away cash can really mess with your family’s future. Don’t waste your time on a down payment; owing people isn’t a smart move down the road. A lot of folks see Troy, played by Denzel, as the bad guy, but I don’t really think that’s fair; he’s got a pretty solid perspective. Anyone who grew up with a dad can totally vibe with Troy; he reminds me of those old Southern guys chilling by the grill, playing cards, and spinning all kinds of tales. Imagine having a chat with Troy; what would you ask him? Hopefully, some deep stuff! Anyway, have an awesome day and remember, you matter more than you realize!

    Thank You for Sticking Around!

    Hey there, fabulous reader!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for diving into my ramblings. You deserve a medal for navigating through my thoughts like a ship in a stormy sea—shoutout to your incredible patience! Seriously, if this were a video game, you’d totally level up by now.

Whether you laughed, groaned, or just rolled your eyes at my dad jokes, I hope you found something to enjoy. Remember, life’s too short to take too seriously—unless you’re a dad, in which case, it’s your job!

Keep smiling, stay awesome, and maybe even share some of your own jokes with me. Until next time, don’t forget: laughter is the best workout for your abs (and your spirit)!

    Thanks a bunch!
